Am Freitag, den 17. Februar 2012, um 18 Uhr, findet bei uns eine Veranstaltung von Cushing Academy zum Thema "Die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten bei Cushing's 2012 Summer Session" statt:

Though July seems a long way off, it’s not too early to help your children plan for their summer vacation.  At Cushing Academy Summer Session, boys and girls ages 12 to 18:
•    Refine their English language skills in an internationally acclaimed E.S.L. Program.
•    Get a competitive edge on their academic studies for the fall.
•    Earn an academic credit by taking one rigorous College Prep course in mathematics, science, history, or English.
•    Take engaging afternoon classes in athletics, academics, or the arts.
•    Make friends from all over the world, and
•    Have more fun in five weeks than they thought possible.

Cushing's 2012 Summer Session offers the following five core academic programs: 
The English as a Second Language Program provides a full spectrum of E.S.L. courses from beginning to advanced proficiency levels as well as an intensive TOEFL iBT preparation course.
The Prep for Success Program for students ages 12 and 13 offers courses in literature and writing, mathematics, and E.S.L.  All Prep for Success students take one period of research, study, and technology skills and compile a portfolio of the summer's academic work and personal reflections.
The Studio Art and Portfolio Preparation Program affords young artists opportunities to work in a variety of media, including glass, silver, drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture.  Artists interested in applying to undergraduate art programs are guided in the completion of their portfolio requirements by our experienced faculty.
The College Prep Program provides rigorous preparation in English, mathematics, science, and U.S. History for students ages 14 to 18.  Classes meet five hours daily, and academic credit is awarded.  If they are interested in applying to U.S. colleges and universities, you definitely should explore our non-credit offering–College Advising Workshop. 
The Critical Skills Across the Curriculum Program offers classes in mathematics and language arts that focus on reviewing, previewing, and reinforcing fundamental content and study skills.
In addition, each week during Summer Session, we schedule a special all-school activity–from trips to High Meadow Resort and Boston to a dinner dance on a cruise ship in Boston Harbor.  There are exciting on-campus activities as well:  International Evening, Summer Fling, and Cabaret.
